The Federation Era: Revelations of the I Ching and Eight Trigrams

In the distant future, Earth's continents have fused back into a single landmass, forming a highly advanced federal nation called the I Ching Federation. It consists of eight cities named after the eight trigrams, each with its own distinctive technology and culture. Together, they form a harmonious, diverse future society. At the heart of the Federation lies Zhongyuan, a megacity where the elite from every city gather. A scroll discovered in an ancient ruin records the history and technology of nations from a thousand years ago, including England, Russia, India, Egypt, and the United States. Two years ago, in 4024 AD, Jian Tianxing deciphered a prophecy at the I Ching Academy in Zhongyuan that would affect the entire Federation. It foretold a great upheaval that could overturn the order of the eight cities.

During a reading of the trigrams, Jian Tianxing accidentally triggered the prophecy of the Qian trigram, which spoke of an “Apocalypse Bearer” destined to change the fate of the world.

Shen Siwei and Chen Moheng leave Xundu and continue their journey to other cities, investigating their distinctive features and problems as they search for clues to the “Apocalypse Bearer” named in the prophecy.
