Don’t You Know? She Has a Sprite Protecting Her

“Oh, how pitiful,” Aunt Yang said as she passed the Gu family's house and saw Gu Yichu in the courtyard talking to a foxtail grass.

Ever since the Gu girl's parents went missing, her delusions had been getting worse and worse. What a tragedy!

But Gu Yichu had no idea what others thought. At that moment, she was talking to a pale green little spirit with foxtail grass growing from its head.

Xiao Ba: “Just go to the top of Cat Mountain. You won't lose anything by going.”

“I'm not going.”

Gu Yichu shook her head. Cat Mountain was full of all sorts of strange little spirits. Every time she went, they tried to make her stay and never come back, wanting her to live like a wild person up there. No way was she doing that.

Xiao Ba wasn't discouraged. “Xiao Chu, you might find what you're looking for if you go to Cat Mountain.”

Gu Yichu figured she had nothing better to do, so she went. When she got there, she found two giant mushrooms, a flower that had been struck by lightning and was barely alive, and a rabbit that wanted to eat the mushrooms.

All she wanted was to find her parents, tend flowers, plant trees, and pick up animals!

There was always someone who refused to take the hint and came looking for trouble. Some got slapped flying, some were tied up like dumplings, and some even became fertilizer! But those troublemakers never seemed to get tired of it.
