At Gu Qingyu and Qi Yujie's wedding, a young, frail-looking man barges in. Brandishing a knife, he threatens to kill himself unless Qi Yujie goes with him. Qi Yujie leaves the wedding with the man, abandoning Gu Qingyu all alone. Gu Qingyu feels that her life is a complete failure. When she sees other people posting online to find one-night stands, she gets carried away and looks for one herself. But then a stranger named Lu Wenze scares off her potential hookup.
Gu Qingyu clings to Lu Wenze and follows him to a hotel, where they spend the night together. Afterward, Lu Wenze figures that since they've had one night together, they might as well have two, or even more. It eventually leads to them living together and getting married.
