Black Myth: Bajie

[Black Myth: Wukong + Bajie + Destined One]

I was so handsome I could have been a playboy! But the eight qualities unique to me in the Heavenly Court got in the way: innocence, honesty, devotion, sincerity, reliability, chastity, stability, and maturity. I’ve decided to get rid of these eight innate qualities and change my name to Zhu Bajie!

Do you know? My senior brother is the “Destined One,” but I’m the “Unlucky One.” I was banished to the mortal realm after catching Lord Eightfold Star and Chang’e having an affair. I transmigrated and was reborn as a pig. To survive, I had to fight the other boars and become the strongest breeding pig, or the butcher would slaughter me! To save me, Zi Zhu’er went so far as to secretly scheme against the great gods of the Three Realms! I am Marshal Tianpeng! I refuse to eat pig feed crawling with maggots ever again!

I call myself the “Unlucky One,” and I really am unlucky. I was originally the handsome, tall, and mighty Northern Pole Four Saints!

But in ancient times, Wu Cheng’en ruined my looks, making me as ugly as a pig! And in later ages, that devious company Game Science went even further and made me shorter, making me as small as a rat!

Tell me, is there anyone as unlucky as me? I’ll end with a song for all the other “unlucky ones” out there:

“Three thousand rounds~ Four weeks straight~ No days off~ Can’t stay! Staying up~ Rising early~ Thin or fat, black or white~ All turned upside down! Sick~ For life~ Lying down in sorrow~ Eating dumplings raw!”
