A few days before and after the change of Yuan Dynasty to Jian'an, Songpu welcomed Songguo'er, a girl from Tu, who returned south to get married. He passed by Anyi in Hedong and met Jia Kui, Pei Qian and other young men from Hedong. He was thus involved in the contest between the young emperor, Yuan Shao, Gaomen of Luodu and the Tu people of Hedong in Anyi.
