At sixteen, a boy meets a merman for the first time. Beneath the azure sky, with the ocean as their witness, they rely on and save each other, then begin fighting against the forces of evil.
The boy lost his parents when he was young. Oppressed by his uncle's family and bullied by his classmates, he silently vows to become strong enough that no one can ever bully him again.
But the road to growing up is hard. Facing one insult and act of bullying after another, the boy can only wipe away his tears alone on the rocks. Then, by fate's design, he encounters a merman for the first time.

He thought he was walking into a trap, but instead the merman treats him with kindness.
From then on, that stretch of rocky shore and the unknown creature become the boy's source of comfort.
The boy thinks things can go on like this forever, with the merman by his side as he grows and providing the only warmth in his life. Little does he know he has already been drawn into a secret war.
