Outside the civil affairs bureau, five-months-pregnant Jiang Li ran into her ex-boyfriend, Fu Tingshen.
He was there to get married; she was there to “get divorced.”
As if possessed, the man blurted out, “Jiang Li, since you’re divorced, why don’t we get married and make a family together?”
Jiang Li was stunned. He was actually willing to be the father of the baby in her belly, even though the baby was his in the first place!
“Sure. Let’s get married, then!”
After they got married, Fu Tingshen discovered that Jiang Li was still tangled up with her “ex-husband,” unable to break things off with him.
Mr. Fu flew into a rage. “Jiang Li, are you blind? You’re still mixed up with that scumbag! What’s the point of keeping a good-for-nothing who shirks responsibility and can’t keep his eyes on one woman?”
Jiang Li nodded vigorously.
Mr. Fu was really harsh on himself. She didn’t have the nerve to say anything like that.
