Zenless Zone Zero: The Mountain Guardian

This is a Zenless Zone Zero fan work. It doesn't involve the main storyline, so feel free to read. The plot is a slow burn. Xiao Susu nearly died in an explosion, but an old Taoist priest living in the mountains saved him. Ten years later, Xiao Susu took the old man's place and became the eighteenth guardian of the mountain. Before he died, the old man urged Xiao Susu to search for the girl in his heart.

“Go on, boy. Find the girl in your heart. She's waiting for you, waiting for you to come back.”

“I've come back for you.”

“Strange, why does this person seem so familiar? Could it be him?!”

“I'll cleave through the mist and press on, holding my own torch!”
