It’s 2026, and we’re still getting Lin Chen, Lin Shaowen, Lin Feng. Could you please pick a different surname? And don’t even get me started on He Weiguo. Share some new courtyard-house stories you discovered in 2026!

Looking for Courtyard Fics With Smart Characters, No Idiotic Stories
Looking for books similar to "Experiencing the Spirit of the Times in a Siheyuan". There are more and more siheyuan novels these days, and they're getting more and more brainless. Give me something with some actual thought behind it, not a power fantasy.

Looking for Courtyard House Stories with No Forced Dumbing Down and a Historically Authentic Setting
Looking for books similar to Four-Hearts Courtyard: Kill to Stop Killing. I want one that fits the period and doesn't dumb down everyone in the courtyard. No more of Jia Zhangshi throwing tantrums, He Yuzhu acting like a lovesick puppy, or some mindless moral grandstanding in their defense. Even the TV series wasn't like that.
Period Pieces Disguised as Siheyuan Stories, with a Touch of National Strength and Patriotism. So Good!
Looking for books like “Siheyuan: Rebuilding the Nation Through Heavy Industry.” I finally found one like this.
Tired of Siheyuan Stories. Looking for One Where She Makes a Clear-Cut Deal with Qin
Looking for System-Space Stories About Moving to Beijing from the 1940s or 1950s

In the 1960s, you could buy a chicken or a real cow for one dollar without a ticket, and you could also buy meat and mountain products in the countryside... It was an era when there were not enough leaves to eat.
In the early days, it was average, and there were too many common sense errors. For example, in 1960, an egg cost one penny. It's okay in the middle and late stages
The current 66 chapters are generally very good. It belongs to the category that does not have a lot of violence, but except for Jia Zhang and Bang Gang who are being developed as villains who have not yet fully formed, there is no deliberate beautification or smearing of any other characters in the original drama. The current 66 chapters, in terms of character creation and plot weaving, have not shown any settings that are particularly anti-human, counter-intuitive, or regardless of the historical background. I hope they won't be written to waste in the future.
In fact, the writing is okay. I don't mean to lick Yi, He, and Xu. I just chose an unpleasant way to deal with it for my own stability. I drove away the Jia Zhang family and bound the Widow Qin, He, Yi, and the old deaf family. This stabilized the relationship between the fools and fools. It gave the sticks the soil to grow up without doing evil. He used gentle means to transform the environment around him. This is also a writing angle chosen by the author. It is not long in length, has a short time span, is generally relatively comfortable, has few conflicts, and highlights the characteristics of ordinary life. The ending with the capture of the spy still feels a bit rushed, but it is still a coherent plot.
8.5 Points. ✅The writing is okay. The male protagonist travels to the next door to the courtyard house, has his own system, has two parents, and four brothers and sisters, becoming the second eldest son Wang Shanhe. Under the operation of Wang's father, he got involved with Li Huaide and became a buyer of the steel rolling mill. He was assigned to the backyard of the courtyard and became a neighbor of Xu Damao. ❌The early description suggested that the male protagonist was clear-minded and determined not to get along with the Jia family. As a result, she took the initiative to have an affair with Lou Xiao'e...
If you need the system, God will give it to you every time
Beautifully written! Well written and humorous
I have to say, this fanfic is really eye-catching! There is no brainless plot or disgusting plot, instead there is a deep sense of humanity. Although there are only main characters in the entire Siheyuan and no other supporting characters, each character is vividly portrayed, making people feel the author's intention.
The structure is reasonable and the writing is smooth, but I don't have such a deep understanding of that era and there are many unexpected errors and omissions in the details! However, I still have the idea to read it and support the author with five stars! Keep up the good work!
It's quite bland, not a bit cool, but it makes some sense
