Unparalleled Statesman, the Empress Is Stunned

Zhao Yang transmigrates to the Great Liang dynasty. Egged on by others, he tears down the imperial notice seeking talented people posted by the Empress, landing himself in serious trouble.

Facing a crisis without fear, he gives perfect answers to the Empress’s test questions.

The Empress: “You wiped out your enemy’s entire family, only to discover you missed a child. What would you do?”

Zhao Yang: “I’d give him two choices and ask whether he wants a sword or some candy.”

“What if he chooses the sword?”

“That proves he has murderous intent. He absolutely cannot be allowed to live!”

“What if he chooses the candy?”

“That proves he’s ambitious. He absolutely cannot be allowed to live.”

“Then he’ll choose neither!”

“That means he’s rebellious to the core. He absolutely cannot be allowed to live!”

“Then he’ll just have to choose both.”

“So greedy! He absolutely cannot be allowed to live!”

After hearing his answers, the Empress was completely speechless!
