When the apocalypse arrives, why does Zhang Liang, who only wanted to lie flat, end up trying to conquer the world? And what price will he have to pay?
An apocalypse story about zombies, but really about human nature.
The protagonist, Zhang Liang, has a golden finger that gives him unlimited resources, a top-tier talent for absorbing other people’s energy, and a specially made go-kart that can withstand heavy artillery. In the ice and snow, he fights zombies and gets a glimpse of human nature.
After quitting his job on a whim and going home to lie flat and slack off, Zhang Liang relies on his golden finger to protect his family and build a safe base after the zombies arrive.
But then his golden finger claims he’s the savior, and Zhang Liang can’t take it: “You’re the savior. Your whole family’s the savior. Even if the sky falls, I just want to be a short guy.”
But Zhang Liang doesn’t get to choose.
Only after wiping out the zombies and uniting the world does he realize that unlimited resources, becoming a saint in the flesh, and summoning thunder with a wave of his hand are all lies. He never had a choice.
This isn’t a fast-food-style read. I beg you to give it a few chapters; it gets even better later on.
This is my first time writing, so I may not get the pacing quite right, but I promise it won’t be brainless or overly saintly. After reading online novels for 15 years, I know how to avoid the common pitfalls.
Thank you all for giving it a chance!
I am the author, so there is nothing wrong with it!
