Cyberpunk: Heir to the Stars

A wealthy young man with a terminal illness believes his life is about to come to an end. But fate has an unexpected trick in store for him: he chooses to undergo the most advanced cryogenic treatment available at the time, hoping that advances in medicine will give him a chance at life in the future. With trepidation and despair mingling in his heart, he slowly closes his eyes and falls into a long sleep.

Time passes, and the years fly by. When he opens his eyes again, he finds himself 150 years in the future. He has become the largest shareholder in the biggest company in this cyberpunk world. The sight before him leaves him dumbfounded. This future society is full of bizarre sights and unimaginable technology, and people's way of life has changed beyond recognition.

Even more shocking, despite all the time that has passed, the future hasn't become the better place he'd hoped for. On the contrary, social tensions have grown increasingly severe, the wealth gap has widened, and problems such as resource shortages have become more serious. Though cryogenic treatment has restored his body to the physical condition of a 25-year-old, he is actually a 175-year-old “old man.”

Just as he struggles to adapt to this brand-new world, he's caught up in a shocking conspiracy. Streaks of fire flash across the sky as an aircraft hovers overhead and unleashes a devastating barrage on the company where he works! The shock waves from the explosions level the surrounding buildings.

Thanks to his tenacious will to survive and quick reflexes, he manages to crawl out of the rubble. But this is only the beginning. More crises soon follow...
