Five Years After My Death, the Emperor Summoned Me to War

In the fifth year after my death, the Xiongnu invaded, and the land was engulfed in war.

The emperor stood outside the manor and summoned me to lead the troops.

My younger sister told him, “My elder sister is already dead.”

The emperor laughed. “She's been sulking for years because I married Rou'er, and now she dares defy my order over this? What nerve! Tell her that if she delays the military campaign, she shouldn't blame me for forgetting our past and executing her entire clan!”

My sister remained impassive and suddenly dropped to her knees.

“Your Majesty, I swear on my life: my elder sister was an orphan. Apart from me, the younger sister she took in, she had no family.”

“Ever since my sister died, I've stayed here. First, to tend her grave.”

“And second, to see the retribution that befalls Your Majesty on her behalf.”
