Lord Marquis, Let's Share a Grave

I was poisoned, with only a month left to live. The abbot of Wuling Mountain told me that incense offerings protected the mountain, and that the peach blossoms there were beautiful. So I asked him to let me be buried on the mountain. I wanted to benefit from those offerings, too. May they bless me in my next life, so I won’t be a princess but will be born into an ordinary family. With parents who cherish me and an older brother who protects me. May I never again have everything stolen from me by an interloper, nor live alone behind a facade of privilege. I wandered alone to the summit of Wuling Mountain and calmly waited for death. But then a man with sharp brows and bright eyes swept me into his arms. “Hey! You’re standing on my grave!”
