This Old Ancestor Doesn't Want to Ascend

Li Yunge devoted himself to the Dao for 1,650 years and finally attained the Dao, ready to ascend to immortality. But as luck would have it, he died of old age on the very day of his ascension. The gates of the Immortal Realm had barely cracked open when he vanished, body and soul, becoming a complete laughingstock.

Reborn into another life, he takes the name Li Chengyi. He could break through the barrier between worlds and ascend to immortality once again, but he discovers that all sorts of coincidences surround him, as if an invisible hand were manipulating his fate. Naturally, he refuses to be anyone’s puppet. The Fourteen Realms of the Immortal Dao are on the verge of upheaval. The greatest sword cultivator of the past has returned, and though his cultivation is gone, he still intends to turn the cultivation world upside down.

The sword is the way of the sword: it reaches straight to the blue heavens, bending but never breaking. This sword can only be held in Li Chengyi’s own hand.
