My Best Friend’s Brother Became My Boyfriend

[Unrequited Love + Healing + Devoted to Each Other]

In his first year of high school, Ji Jiayan fell for a girl named Zhou Xingyu.

He remembered how brightly she smiled the first time he saw her. She walked toward him, step by step, then passed him by, step by step. His heart seemed to skip a beat. The gray world in his eyes lit up all at once, like a glimmer of dawn in his darkness.

--

For years afterward, he could never forget the girl in his memories. He knew his heart had chosen her. If he couldn't be with her, he would rather be alone for the rest of his life.

That one glance had become his forever.

--

At twenty-six, he finally married the girl he had loved since he was fifteen. At their wedding, wearing a white gown, she asked him, “Why do you love me?”

With a smile in his eyes, he replied, “The first time I saw you, it was love at first sight. The second time I heard your voice, I knew I liked you. Every moment we spent together after that made me fall more deeply in love. But above all, it was my heart that chose you.”
