[A Fool Outsmarts the Experts] [Mystery-Solving]
A sweet, silly beauty who's a little lucky fairy * A sly, foxlike, unlucky deposed crown prince
He Mi has been unlucky since the age of five. His father doesn't love him, his mother died young, and his family fell into ruin. Despite being the crown prince, he's so broke he can't afford a thing. A teahouse storyteller puts it this way: "Three coins won't defeat a hero, but they can bring a crown prince to his knees."
While the other princes throw money around and build networks of supporters, the crown prince is passionate about picking through junk. His trusted followers are all a bunch of con artists and swindlers.
He Mi thinks he'll be unlucky forever, but one day he picks up a peach blossom spirit by the roadside, and it becomes the start of his change in fortune.
The peach blossom spirit is lucky, but she's really not very bright. She always has her own unique interpretation of whatever He Mi says.
After suffering greatly because of her, the first thing He Mi does after reclaiming his position as crown prince is post notices all over town, announcing an utterly baffling law:
"No spirits may form beneath peach trees."
The common folk are baffled. "Why peach trees, and not apricot or plum trees?"
He Mi lets out a cold laugh. Because I only know one silly peach blossom spirit.
Spirits are rare in this world, but there are plenty of people who pretend to be supernatural.
Behind each bizarre case, there's often a subtle, twisted human heart.
