Shengsheng, Lost in Love

[Whirlwind marriage / mutually exclusive relationships / marriage before love / second male lead wins / desperate attempts to win her back] Wen Sheng watches with her own eyes as Gu Shiyan loses a game and kisses his female secretary without wanting to let go. He doesn’t even spare his girlfriend a thought. She promptly breaks up with him and walks away without looking back. In the elevator, she runs into Gu Shiyan’s sworn enemy, Zhou Chenyu. She huddles in a corner, crying to herself, and Zhou Chenyu offers her a handkerchief. A daring idea comes to her: become Zhou Chenyu’s girlfriend. “If we’re going to do this, let’s go all in. Marry me. We’ll get our marriage license tomorrow.” Zhou Chenyu is the heir to the Zhou family, one of the capital’s most powerful and wealthy families. Cool and aloof by nature, he’s ruthless and decisive in business. Marrying him could only be a good deal, so Wen Sheng agrees. After the wedding, Zhou Chenyu’s sincerity and thoughtful care gradually win her over. When she learns he’s been secretly in love with her for a long time and that she’s the woman he’s always cherished, she’s both shocked and delighted. … Gu Shiyan always thought Wen Sheng couldn’t manage without him and would come crawling back to apologize. He was wrong. When he learns that Wen Sheng has married his sworn enemy, he feels more regret than anger. He begs her in vain; she remains unmoved. Then he tries to guilt her into divorcing Zhou Chenyu and staying with him for a year, after which they can wipe the slate clean and owe each other nothing. Zhou Chenyu pulls Wen Sheng firmly into his arms and declares, “In my life, Zhou Chenyu will only ever be widowed, never divorced. Not for a year, not for a day, not even for an hour, a minute, or a second.” [The heroine falls in love over time / the hero’s longtime crush comes true / three-year age gap]
