Compromise

The first time Ye Xi saw Zhou Zhiheng, he seemed as clear and bright as a spring breeze and a moonlit sky. She fell in love at first sight.

Only after they married did she learn how heartless he could be.

Ye Xi pursued him for six years, losing her family and ending up utterly defeated, but she never regretted it.

Not until she saw how tenderly he cared for the woman at his side, trampling on Ye Xi’s sincere feelings time and again, did she finally decide to set him free.

But later, after a certain banquet, Zhou Zhiheng cornered her against a wall and wrapped an arm around her waist. Humble as dirt, he pleaded, “Ye Xi, will you come home with me?”
