"When I was born, a heavenly omen appeared, and Xuan Si, the nine-tailed divine fox, was appointed by Heaven to be my bonded spirit beast.
But on the day I came of age, he ended up with my concubine-born younger sister.
Xuan Si even begged me to give them my blessing.
Not only did I applaud, I also formed a bond in front of everyone with the white snake my sister had tormented.
In my previous life, I chose Xuan Si, but when the demon clan invaded, he abandoned me and fled with my sister.
I died from the backlash, only then learning that Xuan Si and my sister had long been in love.
As my body and spirit were about to perish, the white snake used its severed tail to shield me from the final blow.
When I opened my eyes again, I had returned to the eve of my bond with Xuan Si.
Everyone thought I was crazy, treating a useless white snake like a treasure.
They didn't know that the day the white snake was reborn in flames would be the day all beasts bowed before it."
