Zhu Xin opens her eyes to discover she has transmigrated into a book, becoming a cannon-fodder character in a rebirth romance set in ancient times. She has taken the heroine’s place in marrying an older man and become stepmother to a whole brood of children.
Her husband is stationed far away at the border, and they have never met. Life after the wedding is harsh.
The children are a gang of little tyrants, causing trouble from the moment the wedding ceremony begins. They’re spoiled, domineering, and good at all of it.
Zhu Xin isn’t afraid. How could a brat who’s only a few years old beat someone who’s raised brats for decades?
It’s my first time being a mother, so don’t expect me to indulge you!
She raises the children, turning the little hedgehogs into sweethearts, only to discover they have parents of their own.
Not one of them is actually ours?!
The man wraps an arm around Zhu Xin’s waist from behind and says tenderly, “My dear, then let’s have one of our own.”
I have finished reading the book, and the overall structure is satisfactory, and the characters are relatively likable. However, the origins of these children are not clearly explained, and the emotional lines are not clear enough and relatively thin! I feel like the book could be more thoughtfully conceived!
It's very interesting to read, the story is compact without being too long, and the heroine educates several children very well.
It's pretty good. It would be nice if the kids can describe it more in the future.
Simple and clear, but the ending did not explain the arrival of the four children, and the ending was a bit rushed.
