After My Adoptive Parents Died, My Birth Mother Came Knocking

After my adoptive parents passed away, my biological older sister came looking for me.

At our first meeting, she came empty-handed except for half a jar of pickled vegetables.

She said, “Mom pickled these herself. They're worth more than ten thousand taels of gold.”

I knew that if I accepted the pickles today, tomorrow she'd come over for a visit, and the day after that she'd arrange a blind date and collect the bride price.

So I kicked the jar, pickles and all, three meters away. “Get the hell away from me!”
