The Folding of the West Sea

[Workplace drama, a novice climbs the ranks and takes on challenges, not your typical cheat-powered story]

In 2030, Xihai folded in on itself without warning.

Lan Yu, a graduate of a prestigious university, arrived in Xihai City for his first job. The company he'd agreed to join went bankrupt, and his job offer was withdrawn.

He tried to find another job, but was rejected time and again. To survive, he joined a local delivery service and quietly built up his strength.

Like many ordinary people, he rented a place in an urban village and gradually settled down in Xihai. He also unlocked the ability to turn invisible.

As a workplace novice, he kept leveling up and overcoming challenges, gaining flexible hours, promotions, raises, and plenty of practical know-how.

Along the way, he met Qing Ling, who helped him uncover the truth behind Xihai's folding. He encountered Zhe Kui, the guardian of the Folded Gate, and discovered that Grand Director Tianji was behind it all.

Lan Yu investigated at every turn to determine exactly when and where the folding would happen. He joined forces with everyone who refused to be worked like an ox or a horse, and defeated Grand Director Tianji before the next folding began.

From then on, Xihai never folded again.
