Mistaking a True Dragon for a Pest: Pitiful, Laughable, and Tragic

[No System + No Female Lead + Decisive and Ruthless] Five years ago, the world underwent a cataclysmic transformation, and ferocious beasts rampaged across the land. Chen Ye, the Southern Domain's greatest war god, defended the region for five years, keeping the beasts from daring to invade. But once peace was restored, the Southern Domain's ruler discarded him like a spent tool. Joining forces with others, he drugged Chen Ye, fabricated charges against him, and sent him to stand trial. To protect himself, Chen Ye crippled his own cultivation and became a cripple. He started cultivating from scratch, never expecting that the Ant of Heaven's Horn, the ultimate embodiment of cohesion, would become his bonded beast and help his cultivation advance by leaps and bounds. With Chen Ye no longer there to hold the line, the beast hordes returned. The people of the Southern Domain were utterly defeated and could only dig in and defend their territory. At the critical moment, they thought of Chen Ye and begged him to save the Southern Domain.
