Fighting for the Fake Heiress's Favor? The Empress Has Already Been Crowned

[Harem intrigue + competing for favor early on, becoming his one and only later + the male lead falls first and loses his composure] The Xie family’s impostor daughter, Noble Consort Xie, suffers a miscarriage, making it difficult for her to bear children. The Xie family abandoned Xie Lingyun for eighteen years and never cared about her, yet now they force her into the palace to bear a child for Noble Consort Xie, intending to keep the child and get rid of the mother. Xie Lingyun is ruthless and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. No one likes women like her, and neither does the emperor. But she doesn’t care. She knows how to put on a flawless act! Now that she has entered the palace, she will become the most favored woman there. She will ascend the phoenix throne and strike the Xie family and Noble Consort Xie hard, making them realize that bringing her back from Jiangnan and forcing her into the palace was their greatest mistake! ** At first, the emperor regarded Xie Lingyun as just another concubine and paid her little attention. Then he was captivated by her stunning beauty, and before long, he couldn’t help feeling sorry for her delicate, frail appearance. He thought she was innocent, sweet, gentle, and kind. How could she manage without his protection? So he trusted her again and again and stood by her at every turn, until he willingly placed the empress’s throne in her hands. “The heights are lonely, but with you by my side, my heart is content.” ** Later, after Noble Consort Xie died and the entire Xie family was destroyed, Xie Lingyun finally avenged herself and revealed her true face. Everyone waited for the emperor to turn against Xie Lingyun, but instead he drew her into his arms, heart aching for her. “At first she was gentle and kind, then she became full of schemes. Yet she is the one I cannot let go.”
