A Heart of Compassion

The aloof, desireless Buddhist prince of the capital x the once valiant, battle-hardened general with crippled legs

After being gravely wounded in battle, I was left unable to walk and married off to the Buddhist prince of the capital.

Xiao Yuheng devoted himself to worshipping Buddha and had no desire to enter the mortal world, yet he would risk his life for one dear friend.

He mistakenly believed I had hurt that friend and tormented me in every way.

Later, poisoned and on the verge of death, I begged him to grant me a letter of divorce.

But with red-rimmed eyes, he carried me to Qingshan Temple and prayed to Buddha through the night, begging for me to live.
