A Heart-Piercing Tale

I wanted to write a different kind of novel, so I chose a POV format. I hope you enjoy it. I did a limited search and found that no one in China had used this approach to write a novel. If you’re reading this book, it should be the first novel of its kind in China. I truly hope I can write something like A Song of Ice and Fire.

A story set in the Jin dynasty. It has laughter and tears, love and hate, courage and cowardice, nobility and baseness, compassion and cruelty, the unification of the realm and its disintegration. The people in this novel are meant to be flesh and blood, not symbols.

Since there are many characters, you’ll find a character index after Prologue Two. (I don’t know whether this is the only online novel with a character index.) The index will be updated from time to time. Since it was added later, I couldn’t give it a chapter of its own. Sorry.

The advantage of the POV format is that it makes it easier to immerse yourself in the story. But without an omniscient perspective, it’s more difficult to write, and the plot and background take longer to unfold.

Although the names of historical figures in the novel have been changed, the story is largely based on historical fact, so I’ve spent a great deal of time researching. Thank you for your patience!
