The Puppet Manchukuo (March 1932-August 1945) was a puppet regime established by Japan after it occupied the three eastern provinces of China. Its scope included the entire three eastern provinces except Guandong Prefecture (today's Lushun and Dalian), as well as eastern Mongolia and Chengde City in Hebei Province. After its founding in Changchun in 1932, Puyi, the reigning emperor of the Qing Dynasty, was given the title of "ruling" and the reign name was "Datong". Two years later, the pseudo-"Manchukuo" was changed to the pseudo-"Manchu Empire". Puyi got his wish from "ruling" to "emperor", and the reign name "Datong" was changed to "Kant". However, this is not the Qing Empire after all. Even if it is the "emperor", Puyi is just the son-emperor of the Japanese.
