A female-dominant story where the female lead takes over a pile of original husbands who are either meek and submissive or harbor ulterior motives, then has to work hard to prove she's changed her ways and bend over backward to treat them well. That's a huge deal-breaker for me. I want a story where women are in charge, and women are loved and cherished!

Above all, I want good writing that isn't awkward. Please, no awkward writing. Ideally, the female lead is clever and not fragile, and doesn't always have to play second fiddle to the male lead. I want to see the charm of a female-oriented story's heroine, not one of the harem heroines in a male-oriented story wearing a female-oriented story's sheepskin. Either make her gentle and reserved, or kind and thoughtful.
