They say, "Yes, the artificial intelligence is manufacturing fake news. It's interfering with the radio waves, and machine intelligence is going to run out of control."
But a girl has her femur hidden away by a god. The dead describe an escape from a hundred thousand years ago. A prophet blossoms into an entire starfield inside a biological sample.
At last, they say, "Yes, we never belonged to Earth. But we can't find out why we came here, or how to get back."
Human perception, thought, and even civilization seem to have run into a giant eraser, losing the ability to break free from their most primitive origins.
