Conquering the NBA, Starting with Buying the Rockets!

On the night the SuperSonics swept the Rockets in 1996, Chen Ke, who had transmigrated into the past, made a bold move: he spent $120 million to buy the Houston Rockets at rock-bottom prices!

With two legends on the verge of retirement, Chen Ke pulled off a jaw-dropping series of moves:

He used Horry and Cassell as trade bait to go all in on Barkley, then flipped him for draft picks.

On draft night, he defied all objections and brought 18-year-old Kobe to Houston!

In free agency, he expertly snatched up future defensive anchor P.J. Brown.

When Drexler watched rookie Kobe score 13 points in a one-on-one matchup, he finally understood:

This young owner, who loved driving his McLaren and negotiating over tea, had the future in his hands!

From an old grudge against the SuperSonics to a showdown against the Bulls dynasty;

from Olajuwon's dreamlike footwork to Kobe's fadeaway game-winner;

then McGrady's pull-up jumper and Yao Ming's thunderous roar beneath the basket...

Chen Ke stood courtside, sipping his tea as he watched the Rockets dynasty he had built take shape:

“Sorry, when you know what's coming, you can do whatever you want!”
