A Taste That Connects Our Hearts

Male Lead: Scheming, sharp-tongued, and with plenty of secret identities. He'll have to suffer to win his wife back.

Female Lead: Brave in love, highly skilled in martial arts, and fiercely righteous.

Su Minzhi is the eldest legitimate daughter of Su Lie, Marquis Dingzhen and one of the founding Eight Tigers. She is also the emperor's chosen future crown princess. After a riding accident, she is diagnosed with a congenital heart condition, and the imperial physician declares she will not live more than three years.

Once, she loved riding into battle alongside her father. Now, it is as though her wings have been cut off, and she is confined to the inner chambers. After a letter breaking off her engagement arrives, the former darling of Daying becomes the laughingstock of the realm.

Years later, a bloody palace coup leaves Su Lie, Daying's most loyal prince, beheaded. His entire clan is exterminated, and the mass grave is piled high with bodies.

A frail, tiny figure struggles and wriggles her way out of the mountain of corpses crawling with maggots!

She turns to look at the sea of bodies, piled up with the flesh and blood of her own kin, and remembers the horrific slaughter at the Marquis Dingzhen's residence the night before.

Damn you, Heaven! If you don't take my worthless life now, you won't get another chance!

She earns military honors, inherits a title, and pierces through layer upon layer of fog. Some conspiracies, it turns out, have been set in motion since the day she was born.

Her fame spreads far and wide, and her power reaches the heavens. She catches adulterers and roots out corrupt officials. She decides who becomes emperor!
