Ordinary as You and Me

This is a story set in a small village in southern Henan. Rong Yu and Wei Ping have known each other since childhood and weathered many storms together. From the “communal canteens” of 1958 to the restoration of the college entrance examinations; from the people’s communes to the household responsibility system, their ordinary life of mutual support and companionship unfolds like a simple yet moving song.
