A Visit from Her Best Friend
Lin Wanru has been feeling uneasy lately, as if something bad is about to happen. She lives alone in this old house, and the nights are always so quiet that they make her feel a little on edge.
One day, Lin Wanru was watching TV at home when the doorbell suddenly rang. She opened the door and saw someone she never expected: her best friend, Xiao Min.
Xiao Min looked pale, and there was a trace of fear in her eyes. Without saying a word, she walked inside, sat down on the sofa, and hugged herself tightly.
Lin Wanru asked with concern, "Xiao Min, what's wrong? Did something happen?"
Xiao Min spoke in a trembling voice. "Wanru, some really strange things have been happening to me, and I don't know what to do."
Lin Wanru sat beside Xiao Min, gently patted her shoulder, and comforted her. "Don't be afraid. Take your time and tell me. I'll help you."
Xiao Min took a deep breath and began to describe what had happened. She said that lately she had kept dreaming about a woman in a red dress. The woman's face was expressionless, and she just stared at Xiao Min. Every time she woke up, Xiao Min was terrified. She had also found strange marks on her body.
After hearing Xiao Min's story, Lin Wanru began to feel afraid, too. She remembered that she had also been having strange dreams lately, but she had paid them no mind.
Xiao Min continued, "Last night, I dreamed about that woman again. She told me she was coming to find me, and that I would stay with her forever."
