Wukong started as a fake Wukong and fought until Lingshan was finally suppressed by Tathagata. Wukong separated a trace of his true spirit and left Lingshan to find his master, Patriarch Tibo. It was not until Master Wutian launched the Three Realms Tribulation that he could take revenge.
