[Fake death escape + System + The aloof heir is brought down + HE]

Xie Changyan closed the door and walked over to the bed.
He swept the bed curtains aside.
Shen Suhuan sat up, her clothes slipping off her shoulder. Below her collarbone, her skin was as white as snow.
Her slender hand hooked into Xie Changyan's blue sash.
Her peach-blossom eyes gazed at him, and she called out in a soft, coquettish voice.
"Your Lordship."
She lightly bit her red lip, seeming to refuse while inviting him closer.
Xie Changyan's gaze darkened, his jaw tightening.
*
Shen Suihuan curled up in the corner of a hidden room, her face pale and her breaths faint.
"Cough, cough..." She covered her mouth and coughed violently, feeling a tightness in her chest.
Suddenly, faint footsteps came from outside the door. Shen Suihuan's heart leaped into her throat.
She quickly held her breath, trying to make herself as inconspicuous as possible.
"Creak, "
The hidden room's door slowly opened, and a tall, slender figure walked in against the light.
A faint, familiar sweetness seemed to linger in the air.
The subtle scent of snow pear was one Xie Changyan knew all too well. The fingers of his hand, resting at his side, curled slightly.
Xie Changyan's voice was very soft, as if afraid of disturbing something. "Ruanruan, I know you're here."
*
Xie Changyan looked at Shen Suihuan lying on the bed, his eyes full of longing.
She slept peacefully, her curled lashes casting faint shadows on her pale cheeks.
Xie Changyan slowly reached out. His fingertips brushed her lashes, the tip of her nose, the corner of her lips, and finally came to rest on her neck. He closed his hand around it.
With just a little pressure, she would stay by his side forever.
Xie Changyan felt something rough beneath his hand. Lowering his eyes, he saw the red cord around Shen Suihuan's neck.
The man's hand sprang open, and his breathing grew ragged.
"Ruanruan, you can't get away."
The writing is pretty good overall, but the ending feels a bit sloppy.
The book that no one has commented on seems so lonely, and I can't understand some of the plot points. I really wish I had a class representative to read with me.
