After a painful breakup, office worker Jian Li unexpectedly meets CEO Lu Shinian at a bar. Due to a mistake of her own, she is “sold” to the Lu family as a maid to pay off her debt.
She never expects Lu Shinian’s mother to recognize her as the long-lost heiress of the Jian family. After the family is reunited, the second young master, who fell in love with Jian Li at first sight, seizes the chance to propose an engagement.
After going through one ordeal after another, Jian Li tries to escape. When Lu Shiyan falls into the sea, she is forced to become Lu Shinian’s wife instead.
“Lu Shinian, I won’t marry you.”
“So what? If you refuse, I’ll make the Jian family disappear.”
After trust between them crumbles, Jian Li goes for a walk along the beach with her older brother. Then, they fall into the sea, and their fate is unknown…
After a wealthy businessman rescues her, Jian Li is sent to a nobleman’s villa to serve its master. Years later, she meets Lu Shinian again, but this time, she has taken a new identity and become someone else’s wife.
And so begins a fierce battle to steal her away…
