Nine Gates: He, the Tangerine Peel, Chooses to Submit to Me

[Nine Gates fan fiction | OOC warning! The characters and plot have been reimagined. Please do not conflate this with the original work.]

Tang Zhaohe of the Guiyan Sect wears a red, fitted outfit and carries a pair of scarlet short swords at her waist. She is the Tenth Sect, beyond the Nine Gates.

Everyone says Chen Pi is ill-tempered, ruthless, and impossible to tame, a fearsome figure among the Nine Gates whom no one dares provoke. He should have been her sworn enemy.

Yet the man who wields a nine-clawed hook and radiates hostility keeps breaking with his own principles, lowering his head to her time and again.

“I don’t care what anyone else thinks. You alone are different.”

Their relationship is a battle of wills, but neither can hide their growing feelings.

As they face dangerous ancient tombs, upheaval in the martial world, and turmoil among the Nine Gates, he is willing to lay aside his pride for her.
