Chengzhou Beneath the Moon

This story is told mainly from the heroine Lin Xiyue’s perspective, with some chapters from the supporting characters’ points of view. (A heads-up: this story gets a little angsty.)

The first few chapters may not be very good. Feel free to skip ahead using the table of contents.

It’s fiction, so I recommend reading without overthinking it.

If you don’t like it, please move on. Writing isn’t easy, so don’t force yourself to read or flame the author. Thank you.

Lin Xiyue grew up with her two childhood friends, Cheng Haizhou and Gu Zeyan. She and Cheng Haizhou loved each other, but fate had other plans.

At the wedding, dressed in a beautiful white gown and holding Gu Zeyan’s arm, Lin Xiyue said, “Cheng Haizhou, I can’t marry you.”

“Okay.”

“Cheng Haizhou, the plums on the hill behind the house are ripe. Let’s go pick some together.”

She should have died long ago, but she waited until the plums on the hill were ripe and put on that beautiful white dress before she could bring herself to go and see Cheng Haizhou.

... (I won’t give away any more. Read it for yourself.)

When the dream finally ended, it turned out that you were only my imaginary lover.

In the second volume, after everyone is reborn, they all find happiness, while Lin Xiyue alone bears the consequences of fate.

(Based on some real events and dreams.)
