Not Quite a Poem

The flutter of love at first sight became a ray of light, illuminating the path ahead for them both.

Many years later, several children play games in the courtyard. The village dog gnaws on a bone, the tabby cat chases dragonflies in a frenzy, and birds flit across the sky now and then. Chen Cheng puts down his eyebrow pencil and nods with satisfaction. Su Yongyi looks in the mirror and covers her mouth with a soft laugh.

"Are my brows drawn to suit the times?"

"Not bad."
