Qiao Ke, a first-year college student, accompanied her roommate to audition for H University's Chinese orchestra. To her surprise, her roommate, who had earned the highest guzheng proficiency certification, was rejected, while Qiao Ke, who had no experience at all, was accepted.
The upperclassman who auditioned her went on and on about Qiao Ke's great musicality and how suited she was to learning music. Qiao Ke felt a little embarrassed by all the praise, so when the handsome Senior Lu asked if she wanted to join the Chinese orchestra, she actually said yes, even though she had always believed that anything besides studying was a waste of time.
Later, Qiao Ke learned that she was the only student who had chosen the erhu, and that the handsome upperclassman had been given strict orders by the erhu practice room to recruit someone at any cost.
For all eighteen years of her life, Qiao Ke had only had one thing on her mind: making something of herself. She had no parents and was raised by her grandmother. She grew up in a mountainous area of C Province and knew the hardships of having no money or reputation, so she wanted to make a life worth living. But in the year she turned eighteen, Qiao Ke found herself with a new goal: Lu Zhiheng.
Lu Zhiheng came from a well-known scholarly family. His grandfather had been a professor at A University, but Lu Zhiheng was the black sheep of the family, getting into H University through the arts entrance exam. In his family's eyes, he was an eccentric who didn't take his future seriously. To his classmates, he was the gentle, perfect upperclassman. But he had never been himself.
For the first nineteen years of Lu Zhiheng's life, his family had given him just one goal: never fall into a social class the family looked down on. But he had never figured out what he wanted for himself.
In the year he turned nineteen, Lu Zhiheng finally realized what he wanted. He wanted Qiao Ke.
A hardworking, impoverished girl × a gentle, wealthy guy
The author's writing style is good. It's not about gorgeous words, but the simplest line drawings. You can see the firm inner world of the heroine. Every heroine of the author is so charming. The only drawback is that it is too short. I really want to see the future of the two of them and the possible confrontation with the real world. I want to see what the future of these two little cuties will be like.
I followed another novel. The writing style really grabbed me. I hope there will be a follow-up [I'm almost crying][I'm almost crying][I'm almost crying]
