Back in high school, everyone knew Meng Jinchao. Born into a prominent family and dazzlingly beautiful, she was the only daughter of the wealthy Meng family in the capital. Wherever she went, she did as she pleased, bold and domineering, carefree and unrestrained, as if she looked down on everyone. Still, no one dared treat her carelessly.

One day, rumors spread that Miss Meng had fallen for a poor boy.

There was a legend at Mingchuan No. 1 High School: if you made a sincere wish beside the dry well behind the classroom building, it would surely come true.

Miss Meng Jinchao had once scoffed at the legend. But no matter how hard she tried to win Li Tingyi over, he remained unmoved.

So one evening, when only a handful of people were left at school, she secretly went to the dry well, clasped her hands, and made a solemn wish: “If you really can grant wishes, could you make Li Tingyi fall for me?”
