You Drove Away a Virtuous Wife? I Defected and Became a Poisonous Strategist. What Are You Regretting?

After transmigrating, Gao Ziyang earns great merit by helping a new emperor ascend the throne.

He becomes General Who Guards the North.

Devoted to the country and working tirelessly to strengthen it, he turns down the Great Wei princess's invitations time and again.

But then treacherous officials frame him.

The Empress berates him as useless in front of the court.

Gao Ziyang has had enough. He turns and throws himself into the Great Wei princess's arms, unlocking the [Poisoned Strategist] System.

When flowers are in bloom, pluck them while you can. Don't wait until the branches are bare.

.

Great Wei Empress: You replaced the disaster-relief grain with bran and animal feed?

Gao Ziyang: One jin of grain can be exchanged for three jin of bran. We can save three people instead of one. That's a boundless act of merit.

.

Great Wei Empress: How can we conquer a country without fighting?

Gao Ziyang: Order everyone to wear silk clothes, and allow the country to grow grain but forbid them from planting mulberry trees.

Before long, the neighboring country will plant mulberry trees on a massive scale instead of grain.

Then issue an order requiring everyone to wear cloth clothes and forbidding the resale of grain.

The enemy nation will descend into chaos from famine!

.

Great Wei Empress: Our armies are facing off, and the enemy outnumbers us. What will you do?

Gao Ziyang: Tie large sheets of cloth to boulders, soak them in fire oil, then hurl them into the enemy ranks and set them ablaze with flaming arrows to burn thousands of soldiers!

.

The Great Wei Empress slips off her clothes: To keep Gao Ziyang by my side, I'll put myself on the line and triumph over fate itself.

.

Meanwhile, the Great Zhou Empress watches as Gao Ziyang's schemes ravage her country and its armies.

She regrets it so much she could tear her hair out!

The Gao Ziyang who should have been hers, the unified empire that should have been hers, are both gone just like that?
