A Joyous Feast Tonight

[Completed] [Stand-In + Revenge + Bad Ending]

My life seemed to be one of endless splendor, yet in truth I was as lowly as a blade of grass.

“Petals fall and fly, filling the sky. When their color fades and their fragrance dies, who will mourn them?” Perhaps such breathtaking beauty was itself an unspeakable sin.

Once, I was Wen Ruoyun, the treasured daughter of General Wen’s household, renowned for its prestige and distinguished military service.

Rong Yan married me, coveting my family’s power and influence. In the end, he cruelly brought about the destruction of my entire family. My father died on the battlefield, his body wrapped in his armor, while Rong Yan coldly married his childhood sweetheart and cast me aside like trash.

After that, I took the name Pei Su and transformed into a bewitching consort, the most favored woman in the imperial harem.

“My beauty has not yet faded, yet his favor is already gone. I sit by the incense burner until dawn.” It turned out that all the love and time we had shared were as illusory and fragile as flowers reflected in a mirror or the moon in water. I was nothing more than a stand-in who resembled her by half.

“For ten years, my heart has suffered, all for the sake of repaying old debts and settling old scores.” From then on, I resolutely put love aside and thought only of revenge, vowing to make everyone who had hurt me pay dearly.
