Divine-Grade Alchemist

System + transmigrate + cultivation washout + genius alchemist + adored by all

Alchemists have always been exceedingly rare, and they have only two options:

First, pledge themselves to a faction, a clan, or the imperial family.

Second, pledge themselves to a sect.

Zhao Zhen chose a third option: founding his own sect and opening a school.

He recruited disciples far and wide, and soon his reputation attracted crowds. He turned no one away: anyone who passed the test could become a disciple, with no distinction between outer and inner sect. He passed on the art of alchemy, earning not only countless recipes but also the admiration of many. He turned enemies into friends, and many new disciples had powerful families backing them, helping him turn around a disadvantageous situation.

After founding the sect, Zhao Zhen found himself short on resources, so he had to cobble everything together, from alchemy furnaces and instructors to medicinal ingredients.

While ordinary supplies were provided by the sect, treasures from other sects and expeditions into secret realms were left entirely to individuals. The sect had little history or strength to draw upon, but it could not afford to fall behind its rivals. So Zhao Zhen often relied on the most primitive methods to build it up, assigning all sorts of… bizarre tasks. He sent disciples fleeing through secret realms, and when others stole their herbs and pills, he had them fight fire with fire, showing no mercy. Zhao Zhen had his own way of disciplining his disciples, though no one understood why he assigned them these tasks.

The disciples lived up to expectations. They sold their pills to countless cultivators, though the quality depended on each person's skill. The sect even opened a shop to sell all kinds of pills. Business boomed, and the sect grew stronger by the day, attracting cultivators from far and wide, including many with ulterior motives. Before long, it became the top alchemy sect, gathering the greatest talents under heaven.
