Our School Days

(Not a feel-good story, no System, and it has a sad ending, but it won't make you cry. Read with caution if that's not your thing.)

I have awakened, yet the dream refuses to fade.

I only like you. Everyone else is just a passing cloud.

In my dream, I didn't know I was a guest in this world.

A distance that fingertips can never cross.

In 2019, just after walking his girlfriend home from her part-time job, Song Ji spotted someone drowning by the river. Without a second thought, he jumped in to save them. By a twist of fate, he returned to his high school days.

“Song Ji, you're not wearing your uniform again!” the principal shouted furiously.

[“Ye Lan!” Song Ji spotted Cheng Yelan and rushed over to hug her.

“Hey! I told you to stand outside as punishment! Where are you going?”

Song Ji pursued Cheng Yelan for three years, and they finally got together in his sophomore year of college. After returning to his second year of high school, he found that events were unfolding differently from before. Song Ji was back to drawing blind boxes with his life. Would he still choose Cheng Yelan this time?

Though Cheng Yelan found it unbelievable, she came to believe that he had returned from the future. As they spent time together, she began to feel fond of Song Ji. But because of his illness, Song Ji didn't want to drag her down, so he kept putting things off. In the end, he broke his promise.

Was it all real, or was it a dream? Why can't I remember?
