Zhan Jue returned from death, having finally seen the truth.
In his previous life, he was the real young master of the Zhan family, switched at birth. After returning to the family, he did everything he could to fit in.
When the cataclysm came, he put himself on the front line and willingly sacrificed himself for his family. Yet in the eyes of his parents and siblings, he was still worth less than the fake young master who had been switched at birth.
After he was gravely injured and no longer useful, his family abandoned him, and he died in despair.
Reborn, Zhan Jue finally saw the truth. He would cut down anyone who stood in the way of his becoming stronger.
His parents had brought him into the world but never raised him, rejecting him at every turn. After the Apocalypse began, they still thought they could manipulate Zhan Jue. His siblings took the side of the family's young master and blamed Zhan Jue for everything.
Zhan Jue raised his blade and killed them!
The whole family panicked. They never thought Zhan Jue would really kill!
This is a story of settling scores with brutal satisfaction and attaining clarity of purpose.
