[Transmigration + Emotional push and pull + Physical first, emotional later + Family and country + Political intrigue]
[A heroine who grows over time, not a lovesick fool. She gets completely unhinged later on.]
Wen Tang transmigrates into the body of a lowly palace maid.
At the emperor’s birthday banquet, she is assigned as the consort of Prince Chen, renowned for his glorious military victories.
The whole affair is absurd, and everyone mocks her openly or behind her back.
But she only wants to live in peace. What’s wrong with that?
The eldest prince, Mo Yunchen, is bloodthirsty and ruthless.
Driven to the borderlands as a child, he endures every hardship.
His many military victories earn him lifelong house arrest in return.
Ten years of warfare, all reduced to a joke.
But he only wants to become emperor. What’s wrong with that?
When everything is settled, Mo Yunchen finally becomes emperor as he wished, and Wen Tang becomes Consort Xi, the most favored woman in the imperial harem. They survive life and death together, and thankfully, he holds her hand tightly through it all.
Yet when the palace holds a selection of consorts, many lovely young women from powerful families arrive. At first, Mo Yunchen only goes through the motions of favoring them, following Wen Tang’s plan.
But after one careless misstep, she vanishes without a trace, as if she has completed her mission and withdrawn from the world...
[This is a fictional setting inspired by the Tang dynasty. Please don’t read too much into the historical details.]
Be, let's go back to modern times
Not bad, but it was 1v1 at the beginning. Later, the emperor favored others, which was too unfavorable. It was better not to favor him alone in the first place.
The writing style is overall pretty good, but I feel like both the male and female protagonists are quite stubborn at heart, and there are some misunderstandings. I hope there will be a good ending in the later stage. Wow.
