Guarding the Funeral Home in Republican-Era China

An alternate Republic of China

A funeral home

Warlords battle for supremacy, the nation declines, strange creatures run rampant, and the people live in misery.

Jiang Li is branded an idiot and left to look after a dilapidated funeral home. Most days, all he does is bury corpses and grow vegetables, and the government even provides his grain. He lives quite comfortably, though the funeral home is always the scene of one inexplicable incident after another, adding a little variety to Jiang Li’s carefree life.
