Overworked office drone Yun Yaoyao dies suddenly after another late night and transmigrates into the body of a marquis’s orphaned daughter, driven to her death by her stepmother. Faced with greedy relatives circling like wolves, she flips over a cup of poisoned tea, then grabs the victorious general’s black armor cloak. “I’m willing to offer you the secret of my spirit spring. Please protect me, General!”
With a healing spirit spring at her disposal and modern knowledge in her head, she wins the people’s hearts by curing an epidemic, grows rich in the capital by opening a beauty shop, and even helps the general reorganize military affairs with PowerPoint. When a princess, heavily pregnant, storms the palace to seize power, Yun Yaoyao strokes her slightly rounded belly and sneers, “I’m carrying twins. Is that enough to secure my position as the general’s wife?”
The fearsome general pins her against the edge of a hot spring pool and murmurs with a low laugh against her earlobe, “Yaoyao, looking for a powerful backer? Are your husband’s legs strong enough?”
